HERIMED is one of the participants of the forthcoming International Conference organized by the University of Palermo and The National Network of Post Graduate students of Architectural Technology OSDOTTA on the topic of “The Permanence and innovation in Mediterranean Architecture”. The conference will be held in Palermo (Italy) on September 15-18, 2010. The Conference is proposing the Mediterranean area as an opportunity for contemplating the future of construction here. This area is a metaphor for shared identity, characterized by a balanced relationship between deep-rooted tradition and continuous transformation, between the permanent and the innovative. The Conference will provide the opportunity for collective reflection and a basis for proposals for real improvements in the immediate future, in order to reinforce the attractiveness and competitiveness of the area in tune with the principle of sustainability.
